He spoke passionately about the composers the students were studying in their performance pieces and gave insightful comments about how to prepare for ABRSM and Trinity graded examinations and diplomas. He also worked closely with four students, Heather, Asia, Luke and Shayna, to develop their pieces further and provided a different perspective on how to approach playing them.

This culminated in a short concert from Dr Wilkinson, the four masterclass students and a Rachmaninov trio for six hands involving himself, Shayna and Iris.
