Sports Day 2022

With amazing effort and determination shown by all three houses, Kendrick saw its first whole school sports day since 2019, hosted at Palmer Park. Track events took place in the morning, and all the way from 1500m to 75m, it was an incredibly close contest. Even through 30⁰C temperatures, students from all year groups were able to give their best performance and cheer on their fellow competitors, waving their house flags with pride.

Despite an unconventional structure to the day because of the heat, the students showed amazing adaptability, which meant we were able to carry out all events according to plan, including field events back on the school site with the help of Year 12 volunteers.

After an exhausting day of athleticism and team spirit, the Junior winners (Year 7 and 8) were Cedars and the Senior winners (Year 9,10 and 12) were Palmer, with Sidmouth sneaking in for the overall win; the final score being incredibly close with only 2 points separating first and second place!

A massive well done to Sidmouth and every single student, who put their all into their events and represented their house incredibly well - A massive thank you to all the staff that organised such a wonderful day of events, it would not have been possible without their hard work!
