Eleanor Reeves

Eleanor Reeves leads the London Environment and Safety practice at law firm, Ashurst.  

Eleanor left Kendrick in 2001.  She joined the Bank of England's Liquidity Services department, before going on to study law at University College London.  After graduating in 2004, she went on to law school at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice.

In 2005, she joined Dentons (formerly Denton Wilde Sapte) as a trainee solicitor.  She qualified as a solicitor in 2007, joining one of the most established environmental teams in London as a specialist regulatory lawyer.  She later moved to Ashurst to head up the London Environment and Safety practice and build a new team.   

Eleanor advises clients on a wide range of environmental and safety matters, with a particular focus on incident response and crisis management, regulatory investigations and prosecutions, day-to-day compliance issues and liability risk management, project and transactional work, and civil litigation.  She is a member of the UK Environmental Law Association and the UK Health and Safety Lawyers' Association.

Her practice area includes pollution liability regimes, sustainable development, land remediation, renewable energy, international climate change mechanisms, health and safety, chemicals regulation, private law claims, habitat protection, producer responsibility, waste management and the circular economy.

Eleanor supports a wide range of community projects, including mentoring, providing educational support and free legal advice, and community work.
