Year 7 Summer School 2024

During the summer holidays, over 110 students of our new Year 7 intake for 2024 attended a 2-day summer school to give them an introduction to life at Kendrick before they started school in September.

The students enjoyed taster sessions in Drama, Computer coding and Biology; and also took part in a solar system experiment in Science and a positive role model task in the Library. The second day saw students discovering their way around the school in an orienteering session, and also enjoying a dance and a wellbeing session.  All the sessions were run by our wonderful staff and supported by our amazing older Kendrick students.

For the last afternoon, all students joined in a fantastic 'Kindness' workshop led by Greig Trout from the 52 Lives Charity and Mrs Souch, which focused on how important it is to be kind in the world and culminated in students producing some wonderful artwork spelling out our Kendrick Pledge, which is at the heart of everything we do here at Kendrick.
