'Hope' Poetry Competition
The English department was once again inundated with brilliant, inspiring poems in response to our winter competition on the theme of hope. After much agonising deliberation, we selected the following winners and runners-up.
- KS3 Runners-up: ‘Hope’ by Ishita Year 9, ‘Whispers of the Dawn’ by Vani Year 9, ‘Wisp of Hope’ by Reyna Year 8 & ‘A Glimmer in the Grey’ by Lily Year 8
- KS3 Winner: ‘Eternal Embers’ by Viduni Year 9
- KS4 & 5 Runners-up: ‘The Little Things’ by Savana Year 11 & ‘A Child’s Innocence’ by Asmaa Year 13
- KS4 & 5 Joint Winners: ‘I hope…’ by Livi, Year 12 & ‘When ‘Hope’ Came Over for Tea’ by Joy Year 12
