  • Into the Woods: A 'Forest' for Success!

Kendrick School's recent school production of Stephen Sondheim's "Into the Woods" was a resounding triumph, captivating audiences with its enchanting music, intricate storytelling, and outstanding performances.

Students from Year 7 to Year 13 dedicated countless hours of rehearsals, demonstrating incredible commitment and talent. Their hard work shone through in every scene, from the powerful vocals to the nuanced character portrayals to delivering powerful music scores amongst the band.

The leading staff: Mrs Cooper, Miss Hyde, Miss Waller, Ms Rohweder, Mrs Souch and Miss Rodrigues amongst a variety of other members of the school, worked efficiently, collaboratively and inspiringly, which provided unwavering support and guidance for the students throughout the process where students could thrive.

In addition to this, a special thanks goes to the dedicated technical teams (again involving students as young as Year 7 all the way to Year 13!), whose tireless efforts ensured a seamless and captivating stage experience. Another special thanks must be given to the school band and Mrs Cooper, who also deserve immense praise for their masterful rendition of Sondheim's complex and challenging score. Their dedication and skill were integral to the production's success. Every member of the cast and crew, from the leads to the ensemble, backstage to front of house, technical to programming, contributed to the success of this challenging production, all within the remarkably short timeframe of just two months!

The school community is immensely proud of the students and staff for this unforgettable production. Please enjoy a few of our images taken by Miss Hyde and our student photographers below and more photos and videos of this magical experience will be shared in due course.

    Congratulations to everyone involved!
