House Drama Competition
Such joy and pleasure on Thursday evening at the House Drama competition where once again we were treated to three superb yet different plays by Sidmouth, Palmer and Cedars. On the theme of Temptation; the snake beguiled me and I did eat, we watched Simouth’s psychological drama, Palmer’s comedic interpretation and Cedars political view of the theme.
Critiqued in detail by our guest adjudicator Frank Whately, former Drama Teacher and Lecturer at Kingston University, who was hugely impressed by all the plays and performances, Cedars was declared this year’s winning play and therefore recipients of the impressive shield. Congratulations to them and to all the participants: writers, directors, backstage crew, lighting and sound support and, of course, Mrs Cooper, the House Leaders, Mr Simmonds, Mr Stride and Mr Duncan for their contributions to supporting this super occasion in the school calendar.
